Further update on my ongoing problems with the 2016 AT DCT. The bike is still at the Honda dealership, as the diagnosis has now changed from faulty switch gear to a malfunctioning and faulty ECU. Honda are now needing to totally replace the ECU along with associated new ignition keys etc.
In the wet the rear ABS kicks in nearly instantly when braking, and sometimes the TC kicks on accell. Has not slipped laterally yet (in wet or dry). Otherwise a quiet and competent set of tires for road work. Decent in gravel at least the first 1/2 part of the lifespan. Seem to wearing pretty good, expect > 8k a set.
The thing to watch on your particular bike is how the DCT performs. are the gear changes as smooth as before both up and down the gears and when you press the button to change from neutral to D mode. if you notice differences in DCT behaviour that causes you any concern, then change the oil back to the Honda specified 10w30. 30 posts · Joined 2017. #4 · Oct 6, 2017 (Edited) CRF1000L sprocket.
