The latest brochure is dated September 2015 and only lists an EAT6 auto gearbox which is probably the latest name for your ETG6 one. A full auto is not listed. In a 12/2013 C4 brochure they had an EGS 6 speed semi auto box but also a 4 speed full auto but only on a petrol car.
We tested a 1.6 HDi in mid-level VTR+ spec with the semi-automatic gearbox, which is optional on the 1.6-litre cars but fitted as standard to the 2.0-litres. The entry-level model is the 1.6 VTi

Hi all, for the last week or so occasionally my 2007 C4GP 2.0HDi with tradition automatic gearbox will disengage cruise control as the gearbox has a "hiccup" Its more of a judder that I can feel and it normally happens when the car tries to slow down (eg, cruise is on, I've just gone up a hill and the road flattens off, so the motor backs off, that's when I feel a judder and at the same time
Oh, and there’s a new engine and gearbox combination on offer. Namely a big 160bhp diesel with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, for peak big French car waft-ability. And peak big French car
Joined: Jan 08 2016. Location: Cambridgeshire. Hi, I need some advice about our 2007 C4 Grand Picasso auto petrol. When it changes gears it makes an awful banging sound. We have been told the gearbox oil needs topping up but I've read on here that you shouldn't need too. Any advice would be appreciated.
Having Difficult time with semi automatic box. In normal driving the gearbox is fine, the 1st to 2nd change is very clunky whether you are in auto mode or manual, manual mode seems slightly smoother but not much. But hill starting and moving in very dense traffic is awful. Yes I know how to slowly release the (poorly shaped) handbrake on a hill
Has your dealer had a proper inspection of the car. I think someone is getting confused between ETG6 Gearbox which is a semi automatic which went out of use by Citroen in late 2014 and early 2015 and is Italian, and the EAT6 Gearbox which is a full automatic and is of Japanese origin (Aisin Warner)

I'm lucky enough to have unlimited access to a fully equipped workshop where I work with two post ramp, transmission jacks and air tools. To do this you need to remove everything above the gearbox including the battery tray to access the gearbox mount. You also have to remove the whole front subframe from underneath the car and also both
The different automatic gearbox styles of a Renault Trafic 2? The gearboxes no longer need to prove themselves on the solidity side, in fact, as it is not for you to manage the gear changes manually and that everything is controlled electronically and mechanically there will be no premature wear of your clutch or other components that could be strained by misuse on your part.
This is a common problem on older 4HP14/18 and is caused by 'varnish' and debris on the governor. USually as the fluid warms up they free off. An automated-manual gearbox does not have a governor because all of the control data (road speed, rpm etc) is electronically sensed and the shifting of the transmission is carried out by external actuators.
